The 18th FEBS Young Scientists' Forum (YSF)

You can apply now for this pre-Congress meeting for postdocs and PhD students! Successful applicants are supported by FEBS YSF grants.

The 18th FEBS Young Scientists' Forum (YSF), a satellite meeting of the 43rd FEBS Congress in Prague, will bring together around 100 talented postdocs and PhD students from across the FEBS area who are working in the molecular and cellular biosciences. This meeting enables participants to present their top scientific results and provides a platform and research network to discuss ideas in a friendly, informal atmosphere, before delegates move on to the larger Congress. In addition to presentations from the participants, there will be keynote lectures and a session devoted to improving and developing important career skills.

FEBS will financially support participation of successful YSF applicants in both the YSF and the ensuing FEBS Congress, via YSF grants. Full details of the eligibility criteria and the link to apply are on the YSF applications page. Applicants must submit an abstract to the YSF and Congress as first author. Applicants also need to be a member of a FEBS Constituent Society – that is, one of the national biochemistry and molecular biology societies that make up FEBS, which are listed in the Our Members section of the FEBS website.

YSF applications must be made through the Congress registration system, selecting the YSF Applicant option, by 21st January 2018.

FEBS has twin commitments to high-quality publications and the promotion of molecular biosciences. As a charitable academic organization,
FEBS uses income from the journals to fund its diverse activities, including support for the FEBS Congress.
